Project role:
Editorial design;
Can a mass-market free-press magazine embody the elegance of the sport it covers?
This editorial project envisions a specialized sailing publication designed for complimentary distribution in sport retail stores.
Design with intent
The chosen theme for the magazine was sailing. We therefore translated the precision and elegance required to practice the sport into the magazine’s layout and overall feel.
Taking inspiration from Bauhaus, we incorporated bold, symmetrical rectangles with a precise and rigorous layout scheme. This allowed us to create a final product that with a coherent tone and style.
The illustrations and inphographics were also designed with precision in mind: thin and organized lines build up rigorous drawings and graphs.
